Description: Shrub or tree, 1 - 6 m tall. Leaves alternate, lamina 4 - 13 X 2 - 5.5 cm, narrowly - to broadly - or ovate-elliptic, often subacuminate at apex, base acute, entire or margin minutely, remotely glandular-serrulate, often slightly revolute, pair of glands with slightly elevated margins at very base. Inflorescence terminal or axillary, spicate or racemose, flowers yellow. Capsule c. 7 X 7 mm, columella persistent.c. 3.75 - 5.25 mm long, ovoid- globose, smooth.
