Description: Climbers, to about 7 m , growing from a tuberous rootstock. Leaves entire to deeply 3-5-lobed, 2-12 x 1.5-11 cm; petioles 0.5-5.5 cm long. Inflorescence cincinnal, up to 30-flowered in male plants, 2-6-flowered in female plants. Fruits 1-2 per inflorescence, 1.5-3 x 1.2-2 cm , bright red. Seeds 10-25 per capsule, 5-6 mm long.
