| Description: |
Habit unicaesipitose, rhizomes patchymorph; culms soft, light brown-maroon when new, becoming dark green, 4-5 m tall, about 1 cm diameter; internodes hollow, 39-42 cm long at mid-culm, glabrous. Leaves laminiferous, when new greenish-brown below, becoming orange-brown to maroon at summit, 7.5 cm long, 1 cm wide. Leafy twigs 55-81 cm long bearing 8-14 leaves. Spikelets about 3 cm long, 5 mm wide.
