Description: Shrub or small tree, to 10 m tall, dioecious or bisexual. Leaves 20 - 50 cm long, leaflets 3 - 15, usually 5 - 7 , ovate-oblong to ovate-lanceolate, 3.5 - 12 X 2 - 4.5 cm, apex acuminate, base somewhat oblique, margin serrate, + pubescent beneath, sometimes glabrous. Flowers greenish-white, red to purple, in axillary, pubescent, paniculate cymes. Mature dried nuts or druplets 1 - 4 together, ovoid or ellipsoid, 4 - 6.5 mm long, glabrous, slightly 2-ribbed; stonenreticulated.
