Description: A large shrub, 4-8 m tall; leaves decussate-opposite or ternate, mostly clustered on the short twigs, strongly odorous; petioles 1.5-3.5 cm long; leaf blades ovate to ovate-lanceolate, drying green, the surfaces concolorous, 5-9 cm long, 3.3-6 cm wide; inflorescence a corymbose panicle; flowers odorous, corolla white to brownish; fruits few, drupaceous, 5 mm wide, light green at maturity, drying black.
