Evergreen root climbers. Leaves simple, entire, the venation reticulate with a submarginal vein, the petiole pulvinate, broadly winged . flowering on hanging branches. Petioles alate, to 5 X 1 cm, apex rounded to emarginate. Berries becoming shining scarlet to crimson red.
