Description: Rank smelling annual herbs, 10 - 100 cm tall. Leaves on hirsute petioles up to 5 cm long, lamina 2 - 8 X 1.5- 6 cm, obtuse or subacute at the apex, truncate, rounded or cuneate at the base, margins crenate, hirsute on both surfaces with long spreading hairs. Capitula 3 - 4 mm diam. in corymbs of about 5 - 15 capitula, borne on pubescent peduncles 0.5 - 2 cm long which bear short linear bracts. Pappus scales 5, c. 2 mm long, lanceolate, finely scabrous on the margins, acuminate into a bristle like point.
