Description: Tree, up to 20 m tall, glabrous. Bark brown to dark brown. Leaves thinly to very stiffly coriaceous; (2 x 5-) 6 x 9-7 x 13 cm; petioles 5-10 mm long. Flowers more or less sessile. Male flowers 2-3 together, females usually solitary. Sepals 4 , greenish white. Petals 4 , white to pink, 5-8 mm long. Fruit globose, smooth, yellowish, up to 2.5 cm. Exocarp rather thin, pulp sweet-acid, edible. Seeds kidney shaped.
