Description: Sinistrose pilose vine with large subterranean tubers; stems terete, brown villose, 1-2 mm thick, with at least 2 spines near node; spines curved, 0.6 cm long, pale green or purplish. Leaves yellowish-green, 5-13 cm long, 6-15 cm wide, whitish or yellowish pilose beneath, nerves 7-9; petioles 2.5-8 cm long. Flower unknown.
