Description: A small tree, young parts pubescent. Leaves simple; lamina 8.7-1.2 cm long, glabrous above, minute pubescence beneath; petioles short; stipules lanceolate. Inflorescence spicate, rarely branched. Flowers unisexual, green tinged withered with a purple disc, on very short pedicels. Fruit a drupe with two, one seeded pyrenes on persistent calyx and petal, about 8 mm diameter, globose, purplish-black.
