Description: Medium-sized tree. Twigs glabrous. Leaves rather thin, coriaceous; stalk 12 - 20 cm long; blade 10 - 15 cm long, oblong or lanceolate - oblong; apex acute or obtuse and retuse; base rounded or slightly decurrent in to the stalk. Panicles shorter than the leaves. Flowers nearly sessile, about 5 mm in diameter. Sepals orbicular, glabrous. Petals oblong - oval. Ovary pilose; style short. Drupe black, pyriform - ovoid, about 1 cm in diameter.
