Description: Erect or climbing, herbaceous annual; stems to about 50 cm long. Leaf rachis 1.5-4 cm long, petiolated; stipules pelate, 1-1.8 x 0.3-1 cm; leaflets 5-16x 3-12 cm, unlobed. Inflorescences axillary, about 10 cm long, few to numerous flowered. Flowers about 1.5 cm long, the pedicels about 2-3 mm long; petals yellow, greenish-yellow, sometimes pinkish inside. Fruit spirally dehiscent, turgid,, 4-9 cm long, 5-6 mm wide, about 4 mm thick, (8-)11-14-seeded. Seeds cylindrical, 2.5-4.2 x 2.5-3.2 x 2.3-2.8 mm, hairs longer than in Vigna radiate, greenish, brown or black.
