Description: Unarmed tree 3-5 m tall. Leaves reddish when young, 8-25 cm long, 4-12.5 cm broad; petiole 0.8-1.2 cm long. Inflorescences 1-1.5 cm long, pubescent more or less 5-flowered; pedicels 4-10 mm long. Fruit globular, reddish tp orange or pink to cherry red. with persistent styles. Seeds (4-) 8-10(-14) mm long, 6 mm broad.
