Medium-sized tree or shrub 1-10)-20) m tall. Leaves variable in shape, 1.2-7.5 cm long, 0.6-5 cm broad; petiole 2-4 mm long. Inflorescences 4-8(-10)-flowered, 2-4 cm long. Flowers scented, 1.5-2.5 mm long, 1.3 mm wide; petals white. Fruit yellow becoming scarlet when ripe, 0.8-1.3 cm diameter.
