Description: Annual with a shallow rootstock; stem to 36 cm high. Leaves numerous, thick; lower ones oval-oblong to lanceolate, c. 10 X 4 mm, obtuse; upper ones linear-oblong, 0.9 - 1 4 X 0.2 - 0.4 cm, subacute, becoming bracetate above. Cymes terminal, trichotomous, flat-topped. Corolla ashy-blue or lavender. Capsules erect, 7 - 8 X 2 - 3 mm.
