Description: Tree, 3- 8 m tall. Leafy branches 0.7- 2.4 mm thick, pubescent or glabrate. Leaf blade 5- 17 cm long, 2- 5.5 cm wide, narrowly elliptical, oblong or lanceolate, obtuse or rounded at the base, acute or obtuse at the apex. Flowers mostly few in leaf- opposed cymes. Pedicle 10- 20 mm long, glabrous or pubescent. Ripe fruit 5- 10 cm in diameter, spherical or ovoid, greenish- yellow. Seeds about 14 mm long, 8 mm wide, 5 mm thick, blackish- brown, with a firm testa and a rudimentary aril.
