Description: Biennial or perennial herb. Leaves numerous, spirally arranged, sessile, oblong-lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, 9.5 - 35 X 2 - 6.5 cm, becoming bracteate above, acute at base and faintly decurrent on petiole, acute, crenate-serrulate, glabrous above, glabrate or puberulous beneath. Racemes terminal, leafy. Capsule broadly copular-campanulate, or depressed-globose. Seeds ovoid to ovoid-rhomboid, 0.7 - 0.8 mm long, sub-trigonous; thickened at margins, pale brown
