Description: Herb, or under shrub, 0.25-1.5 m tall; stems solid or rarely fistular, hispid with simple hairs. Leaves very variable in shape and size, lamina 6-22 x 3-24 cm, palmately 3-5-lobed or -divided , base cordate, margin serrate or dentate; petiole 2-30 cm long; stipules 6-12 mm long. Flowers solitary; pedicel (51.5-)3-7.5 cm long; corolla yellow with dark purple centre. Capsule 5-8 cm long, ovoid or globose, lightly hispid. Seeds 3.5-4 mm diameter.
