Description: Small tree or shrub, 4-10 m or more tall, twigs densely covered by silver scales. Leaf lamina 6-13(-20) x 5.5-13 cm, cordate to cordate-truncate at base; petioles 5-8(-10) cm long; stipules 12-25mm. Flowers large, yellow, solitary, axillary; pediciles 2-8.5 cm long; corolla campanulate, petals 6-7 x 4.5-6 cm. Capsule 2-4.5 cm. Seeds 9 x 6.5 mm.
