Description: A large shrub or small tree, up to about 5 m tall; branches subterete. Leaves 2.5-10 x 1.5-5 cm; petiole 5 mm long, generally drying yellowish-green. Inflorescences condensed to 3-15 flowered heads, 4-15 mm diameter; peduncles 2-25 mm long. Petals blue. Fruit globose, initially yellowish-green; mature fruit bluish-black, about 9 mm diameter.
