Description: |
A large banyan with few or no aerial roots from the branches, evergreen. Stipules -12 mm long, paired. Lamina 3-12 x 1.5-6 cm; petiole 4-16 x 1-1.5 mm. Figs sessile, axillary, paired, ripening yellow to orange and dark red; body 8-12 x 7-10 mm. Male flowers abundant, pedicels 0.8-2 mm long. Gall-flowers with pedicels 0.2-2.8 mm long. Female flowers sessile. Lamina with cystoliths on both sides.
