Description: Tree, 9-18 m or more tall. Leaf lamina 6-10(-15) x 2.75-4(-5.5) cm, dark-green above, pale-green beneath; petiole 0.5-1.25 cm long. Flowers 6-8 mm long, pale-yellow, urceolate. Fruit 4-6 x 3-5.5 cm. Seed 2.5-3.5x1.75-2 cm, surrounded by scarlet or rarely yellow-white aril.
