Description: Prostrate herbs; stems to about 2 mm thick, pubescent, green or purplish. Leaf pinnae subequal, 5-25 x 3-15 mm, pubescent beneath, deep red or purplish-coloured in exposed situations; petiole to about 10 cm long, pilose; stipules connate to petiole base, 1-3 mm long. Inflorescence with 1-6 flowers; peduncle 2-12 cm long. Petals 4-10 mm long, bright yellow. Capsule 5-25 x 2-4 mm, subcylindric, 5-angled. Seeds 5-12 in each loculus, 1-2 mm long, reddish brown.
